Characteristics.

  • Known in the industry as Alloy 625.
  • Nickel alloy with niobium and molybdenum addition, corrosion resistant and oxidation.
  • High strength and very good resistance to aqueous corrosion. Easy to weld.
  • Resistant pitting and crevice corrosion, also very resistant to stress corrosion cracking of chloride ions.
  • It is not magnetic.
  • It can be forged or hot working at a temperature that is maintained between a range of 1800°F to 2150 °F.
  • It may also worked cold due to its good ductility.
  • EYE: work it hardens quickly, so you need an annealing treatment for the formation or manufacture of complex components.
  • It is used in the marine industry, chemical process equipment in pollution control equipment, nuclear reactors, exhaust systems of aircraft engines, aircraft piping systems, etc.
